A young women led non- profit organization that captures the needs of girls and young women. It is an inclusive organization premised on the belief that young women and girls are active members of the wider community and play a vital role in it.

Established in 1995 by a coalition of women’s rights activists with the aim of strengthening the capacities of women’s rights organizations and addressing women’s subordination and violence against women and girls in the Horn of Africa, SIHA has grown substantially and is now comprised of 136 member organizations.
Their mission is to involve entire communities in gender equality, so that girls in rural Kenya can create their own bright futures.
